Tell au pairs about your children, your job, values, hobbies and fun things that make you a nice family!

We are parents of Sophie. A fun little girl that loves to play, eat, sleep and repeat. Thomas (dad) has a job as a director in an IT company and Sarah (mom) is a medical doctor in a nearby hospital. In the weekend we like to meet up with friends and family or we go out to the city or in to the nature too enjoy the weekend.

What are you looking for and expecting from an au pair? What will you expect from the au pair?

We are looking for someone that wants to help with busy family life while enjoying their free time discovering and enjoying life in the Netherlands. Sophie is going to the daycare 4 days of the week. With our busy life it would be great if the au pair is able to help in the morging and bring her to the daycare (2 minute walk from our home) and pick her up and help preparing diner. Sometimes a whole day of childcare is needed when daycare is not available. And once a week childcare in the evenings so we can have a night out together.

What fun things can the au pair do around town, and what can your family offer to the au pairs during the au pair experience?

We live in Utrecht, it is the third biggest city in the Netherlands and in the middle of the country. You can go to the inner city by foot, bike or bus. It's a city with canals (like Amsterdam!) with a young, internal and energetic vibe. Everything you would like to do, you can find in Utrecht. Since it is so central, a trip to Amsterdam, Rotterdam or somewhere else in the Netherlands (or Europe) is very easy to do.
